That's a made up interpretation of the poll. The poll shows how many people think that a team should be in the top 25. Therefore it holds no validity outside of the top 25.

…….My thinking is that we lost all the necessary players with high credentials and a new coach……well this has played over and over in the media……ergo a low start of season guess ranking…….but like coach said, we have some good players that stayed and some young guys ready to play>……Geaux Cajuns!!! I totally understand the premise, but the chips fall where they fall.

The actual poll sponsors/creators show Florida as being 37th last week.
