FYI Any engineer that would review a structure and come to the opinion that it should be condemned would express that opinion IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS and condemn the structure immediately. There is no way they would say it's unsafe and let occupancy continue. Take that from somebody who has been there and done that. If an engineer would come to the opinion that a structure is inadequate (that is a threat to collapse or a potential threat to life or safety) and allow that structure to continue to be occupied would be unethical and negligent.

Remember structurally unsound and structurally deficient are two different things.

Same here, but in the chemical business. Stuff we were paying 34 cents per pound last year is now $1.35 per pound... and that is if you can even get it.

Customers do not want to hear it. They say it too expensive and do not buy the product. Then a day or two later they call back and place the order (after calling other vendors and realizing it isn't us jacking up the price). It's a tough time to do business.

Ordered 20 L drum of lab grade petroleum ether took 4.5 months to come in.

I know someone who would know. I'm not going to say much, but cajun4life seems to know what I know. The delays are due to obvious things we've all discussed here: a dramatic increase in material and labor costs, and not enough money raised to account for that increase. We have legitimate paths available to us to close that financial gap, but those paths involve bureaucracy, red tape, and persuading the right people.

The stadium will absolutely happen. 2024 seems realistic.

Very tough time in America. At work, we have started breaking out inflation when discussing our inventory values with corporate leaders. Inflation is the worst in the chemical portion of our business.
