I’m sure Harrington would move to center if needed before Boulet

Yes if the starter goes down. If Harrington is at guard and they are rolling guys to get breaks during a game that leaves you Boulet to spell Hudson.

Speaking as a former center, center doesn’t rotate on the Oline due to consistency of snapping to the same QB. It is a rhythm and timing thing… if a rotation does happen i would expect it when ben woolridge would play.

How old are you? What years did you play center?

They are also the one who calls the line stunts

No doubt. But des said they’d like to roll at least 8 in and out and ideally they would have 10 to roll in and out. If he’s rolling 10 he is rolling all positions to give guys breaks.

Correct that’s more important today than anything else. He sounds like a center from back in my day when the QB was under center 100% of the time. Making calls is most important by far.

I was mike D’s center in high school… we ran wing T and also ran spreads out of the gun… center also is calling defenses out, trying to determine which stunts are going to be run based off of alignment, and calling out the mike so you can adjust block scheme or protections. It is all about continuity and learning defenses.
