    It's been a long and winding road, that's for sure. I wonder how many people realize that when the Navy left the airbase in NI, the tunnels were filled with left behind equipment and sealed up...just like we have done all over the world. Funny we heard plenty from BR when Pennington did the multi-million dollard research donation to the flagship and not much since. Our leaders must be diligent in protecting what we have earned.

    Thanks Turbine, your post just goes to show how long the supression of any university NOT named LSUA&MC@BR has been going on.

    UL is already the 5th largest Private donor research University in the USA. There is a very very realistic shot at being #1.

    I like our research with a purpose tag. Focuses on ROI vs. fundamental research. Great niche for us.
