Default This is how UL will separate.

.from the other state schools. R1 is gonna R1. The University of Louisiana.

Please note the last two words of the article. Do it!!!

This is how we get a medical school. Keep plugging away, local politicians stay true to Acadiana, don't let LSUA&MC-BR take it from us.

KLFY reported on this. KATC, KADN, didn’t see anything. TDA and Acadiana Advocate reported it. Our local media could take a lesson from the Acadiana Advocate. Do the Lafayette thing first, UL the rest of the article.

We're doing it ourselves.not trying to grab an existing university like the Rustonians tried, or an existing program like Baton Rouge has done multiple times, or being a landlord like ULM.or thinking Mr. Golden Nugger Casino will drop McNeese a bone. Throw in Oschner-Lafayette is reportedly becoming the largest cardiac hospital between NOLA and Houston, the future looks bright for the University of Louisiana.

Not trying to take away from game week, but this ranks up there right behind becoming a R1 institution. August is truely sweet.

Research money will likely increase I imagine.
I’m trying to be subdued. Not working. Explode maybe. Now I feel better.

Exactly!!! Train gets rolling out the station, the rest of the ULS will be left in the dust. Move up the foodchain grant wise, endowments will grow as research expands and we graduate people that have benefited from these investments. Proud to be a Ragin Cajun today!!!

It's been a long and winding road, that's for sure. I wonder how many people realize that when the Navy left the airbase in NI, the tunnels were filled with left behind equipment and sealed up.just like we have done all over the world. Funny we heard plenty from BR when Pennington did the multi-million dollard research donation to the flagship and not much since. Our leaders must be diligent in protecting what we have earned.

Thanks Turbine, your post just goes to show how long the supression of any university NOT named LSUA&MC@BR has been going on.

UL is already the 5th largest Private donor research University in the USA. There is a very very realistic shot at being #1.
