I just saw that the following Cajuns have been released by their NFL teams:

1. Ferrod Gardner (Washington Redskins)
2. Christian Ringo (Arizona Cardinals)
3. Raymond Calais (LA Rams)

The 53 listed today on team rosters today will not be the 53 by the end of the week. Once you make the initial 53, you can be placed on partial season IR. That will happen to Trevor Penning of the Saints. Other guys can then be brought back to once again reach 53. Therefore some former Cajuns not on NFL rosters at this time may be on one when the season begins. There is also the practice squad. It is now around 15 players. Bradley has been on that list for the Browns in the past. He has eventually gotten called up to the regular squad at some point in the season the last 2 years. Also, you don't have to sign for a practice squad spot on the team you spent camp with. You can sign with any team for such a spot.

Hopefully some of these guys can at least land on a practice squad and earn an NFL paycheck. Even better on a 53-man roster somewhere in the league. Can never have enough Cajuns in the NFL.
