Some years will be better than others but App State has developed a SOS reputation.
NC State sees the value (and rightfully so) of playing a school H-n-H when it will help their Strength of Schedule.
That's just one aspect to making yourself attractive to opponents.
The nerve of App state to be big time. How dare they.
Louisiana could pull off a H&H with LSU.
A UL home game in the Superdome with a representative gate split after expenses.
It's not about egos, it's about bringing something valuable to the table. It will never happen if LSU was the only P5 on the schedule, or if you have never shown evidence of scheduling multiple P5 games a years. Bring some SOS.
No one mentioned anything about any instate school. App has broken the code scheduling games with P5 programs, instate or not...either a long bus ride or a short flight, what about Houston, TCU, SMU, Ole Miss, Moo State coming here to play...stop the Alice Sho argument and excuses, there are other opportunities in our region...
I would not mind someone asking Dr. Maggard why some schools in our conference have been able to get P5 schools to their place in recent years while we struggle to do so. Some may not like his answer but he should at least get an opportunity to address the issue.
Someone put this to Dr. Maggard and ask why not us?
