Absolutely love it, schedule is locked through 2025.
FCS teams (SLU, Nw State, Grambling and McNeese)
G5 Home (EMU, NMSU, Tulane and Rice)
G5 Away (Rice, UAB, NMSU and EMU)
P5 Away (FSU, Minnesota, Michigan State and Mizzou)
Instead of calling them FCS games, how about In-State games.
Every once in a while LSU and Tech can fill that slot.
The In-State slot is perfect nominclature. In a decade there would be 3 road games in that slot.
Once a decade in that slot we play LSU at their place. Once a decade we play LSU in the Superdome in that slot.
Once a decade Louisiana heads to Ruston, and once a decade Tech come to the Swamp.
Once a decade Louisiana heads to Tulane and visa versa.
Grambling, Southern, Northeast, Nicholls, McNeese and SLU fill out the slots.
Playing all the State schools once a decade (roughly) would stop it from ever getting stale.
Need to quit calling it the FCS slot.
Knew the Southern show was going to rock when the band was stretching before the show.
Appreciate having regional teams like Tulane and Rice on the schedule, Tulsa a few years down the road. Hopefully the trend will be more AAC less MAC on future schedules beyond what's on the books. And as previously discussed on RP, hooking one of the service academies to schedule a H/H will be fantastic.
