    The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team wraps up its season-opening, three-match homestand on Thursday when it faces American Athletic Conference member Houston at the Home Bank Track/Soccer Facility.

    Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. Admission is free.

    Louisiana (1-0-1) returns to close out its homestand after earning a 2-2 tie against Stephen F. Austin on Sunday. Hailly Waterhouse capped off her first career multi-goal match at the collegiate level with an unassisted goal in the 89th minute. Karleen Bedre scored her first point of the season with an assist on Waterhouse's goal in the 22nd minute for Louisiana while Libby Harper stopped five shots in the contest.

    Waterhouse (2), Ruthny Mathurin (1) and Jacie Crochet (1) have each scored goals in the first two matches of the season for Louisiana with Mathurin, Bedre, Tatum Beck and Sisley Stephens each credited with an assist.

    Houston (0-1-1) opened its season with a 1-1 draw at Oklahoma before falling at Lamar, 3-0, on Sunday. Samantha Wiehe scored the Cougars' lone goal of the season with Haley Woodward stopping 11 shots in her first two matches.

    Heavy thunderstorms in the Lafayette area forced the postponement of Thursday's match between the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Soccer team and Houston at the Home Bank Track/Soccer Facility.
