Agreed. We put 30,000 Cajun fans against north Texas we would do the same or better for miss state.

But going into the game they had only won 2 of their last 7 games

The student section needs to be back behind the visitors bench.

Midweek games are a net negative in this regard. The reasons are many, and have been discussed plenty. For now, our hands are tied with the ESPN contract.

The other issue is up to us. I submit that limiting ourselves to 1 P5 game is an obstacle to growth. Scheduling at least 2 keeps your payday, allows deals for future Home P5 games and increases the chances for more Program building wins like Iowa St.

It’s time to take the training wheels off.
Your question makes an excellent point- what is our goal? What's possible? Sort of like last year, try to position for a NY6 bowl game, win the conference, get ranked. Should create momentum but let's be honest, with the status quo, our strength of schedule is seriously lacking. Never thought I'd be for a Friday night home game against a P5 or even MWC/ACC team, but if on national TV could be worth it for the program and fans.

I know it's unfair to argue on a hypothetical, but I disagree with Jay that Mississippi State in Lafayette wouldn't draw a big crowd. SEC opponent in Lafayette? That's the most gourmet looking carrot to dangle in front of the typical dual-allegiance/casual Acadiana fan.

What’s your deal?? You have no answers but no!! Can’t get big crowds, can’t find money, can’t afford to be legit, can’t can’t can’t, no no no. Thank god you’re not in charge because it would actually be worse than it is….

They didn’t move the Red Zone back a little towards the visitors side?

I’m telling you the crowd would not have been 35k.

It rained in Lafayette on 31 Aug 2018 between 3pm and 5pm.

Y’all can be making a lot of money as some athletic directors. Yet y’all are here.
