We are already investing more than we have in a stadium. We did the same with baseball. At some point it has got to stop until you recoup.

PS: where will you find the money to invest? When will you answer that so Dr. Maggard can have something g to work with . . .

Actually the forest are the $$$ it would take to host and beat multiple P5 schools over a number of years to generate enough interest in UL football to substantially increase interest in our games. Money spent in the near future has to be to improve our stadium and facilities in a big way.

Game against a mid or top end SEC or any upper end P5 team would require a sponsor to pony up a big check...but it could be done...Tabasco Challenge Cup, The PHI UL vs The World Series, The Ochsner Monster Blast, UL vs. Texas based P5...in fact, you could extend those contests to include 5 sports...

So, play some P5 schools on the road. Win like we did vs Iowa State and that changes everything. Keep playing E. Michigan and that gets you nothing in the eyes of the fans and the media. And, you get big paychecks.

Now, apply that same argument with a yearly schedule that includes 2 P5 schools. 1 slot is a guaranteed game every year, and the other is free to do a 2 for 1 if you choose.

We would be giving up a 6th G5 home game every year for a 6th P5 home game every 3 to 4 years.

You’re right Vic. We broke apparently. No commercial, no gear in the stores, no push, no buzz, no hype video, it’s an almost comical situation we are in, talking about maybe 20,000 fans for an opening game against an in state opponent with the longest win streak in the country. I guess this university and community as a whole deserve the situation we’re in.

I will say this though. There’s a lot of USLing it going on and a handful here supporting it or making excuses. At the end of the day it falls on maggard at this point to get butts in seats and money in the bank. The winning is happening, no excuses!!

It’s not my job to find that money it’s his. I donate what I can. He needs to get more people to do the same. There’s your answer. Problem is he’s doing nothing to find more fans. He knocking on the same big doors asking for big checks. 30,000 people putting up a small amount adds up to a lot of money. We could go round and round. But if you think maggards job is to take the money “on hand” and do something with it than this is pointless. I could do that after my 9 to 5 job.

Kansas is a bottom feeder. Kansas State has generally been a good football program.
