We could do it, but we would have to take a 2 for 1 and Dr. Maggard doesn't want to do that. That is the issue. The only way a P5 comes here is in a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 deal. Until we are willing to do that, then we will not get a P5 here.

UAB was kind enough to schedule us after during the COVID year. They didn't have to do that. AND, Billy wanted the game on the road as he thought it would benefit the team down the road.
So no, we don't have to bend.
Concerning Tech, the last series started in Lafayette. This series is starting in Ruston.
The only time the grass appears to be greener on the other side is when you paint it with inaccurate facts.
That is what happens here many times when posters have agenda's.
I get the ULM shutdown, but the "no one else was doing it" mantra holds no water. Ninety percent of ultra successful self made unicorn companies in America are where they are, because they identified (and filled) a niche that up till them no one else was filling.
Two less home games against lesser competition, replaced with higher quality opponents one road, one home will (in the long haul) have hockey stick attendance numbers. (5 home games)
Naw, not talking shizz just stating how I'm seeing things. 2026 is far away and lots of things could happen between now and then but we are two different schools going in different trajectory. They are having to play 7 away games just to balance their low budget. 7 away games is killer on a program and that program is teetering on collapse.
A program that is a little better than Monroe but Monroe is in a stable conference and can ride the SBC coatails until they decide to give up. Who can tech leech onto, Liberty? Liberty is not Boise. They won't be able to save tech from techs worst enemy, themselves.
