Cajuns football players who transferred

Off the top of my head trying to remember which Cajuns football players transferred last year via portal...

Baily-TCU
Lacey-LSU
Garner-LSU
Johnson-UF
Torrance-UF
Waites-UF

*According to these schools Depth charts only Johnson, Garner and Torrance are projected starters, rest are second or third string. So, the question is was it smart for them to transfer and sit? NIL aside. At UL most if not all would be starters. Can't make it to NFL if you don't play.

I think this is very much a "time will tell" situation. Might want to revisit this after the season is over.

I was thinking about this the other day, too. Wondering who you would see playing and how well would they play? Especially Lacy, for some reason. I didn't understand that transfer, but I guess it's not for anyone outside of the athlete and their circle to understand.

Lacey was really a head scratcher. That LSU WR room is LOADED!!! The one that hurt the most was Emani. Man, that kid is special.

Heard Emani wanted to stay but TCU offered his brother a scholarship and both a $25,000 NIL deal each if he transferred. Mommy said to transfer to TCU. I also agree that Emani is the one we will miss the most.

…….Emani was as exciting player that I have ever seen at UL……so how many of these guys would have started at UL this year? We will see as the year plays out!

I mean there are others like McCaskill to Kansas and Brown to a FCS school I believe, Ratcliff to Texas State come top of mind.

From what I understand Lacey was not the best person to have in the locker room and not a whole lot effort was made to keep him here….
