My guess would be the Estuarine Habitats and Coastal Fisheries Center in the research park. Due to political infighting, it was never really used for its original intended purpose and its office space was being rented out to other government agencies. It has been mostly vacant in recent years.
However, that facility is over 69,000 square feet.
I seem to remember a news article a while back about UL wanting to turn it into a lab school.
You may be surprised. Someone with UL told me recently that there is cooperation with McNeese on some issues occurring.
Plus other universities involved. International scope. Glad Kennedy is getting involved. Cassidy had been our only buddy. Sort of like Bennett Johnson. If we get both senators helping, we’re good to go on research continuing to grow.
What is really encouraging is that UL is the lead school on some of the things 60’sWereBest refers to in his post.
