With your haircut, I'd hope you'd wear any type of hat....frontwards OR backwards.

I think Nick nailed what I was thinking too about ticket sales and Josh kind of rounded it out.

Southern Miss and Hattiesburg was a good example of that "in your face" branding around town. I'm sure it's the same in their media. This kind of rolls into the example of what I was thinking because they have 2 SEC schools that are in the state, although they are separated a bit more by geography.

My hatred for the east runs deep and when I see their branding around town it makes me roll my eyes. But it's in Lafayette. You won't get their fans out, but as a University in the city, you can sure drown them out. Put red everywhere. Display our brand. You can control this. Give posters of your schedule to local businesses. Give flags. Replace some of these ambulance chaser billboards with branding. I remember seeing Hud cutouts in local stores back in 2014. That stuff works.

I walked into a locally owned grocery store over the weekend and there's a tigers and saints schedule on their wall. To boot, the tiger's schedule said "Louisiana football" in purple (different conversation.) That makes me sick.

Then to Josh's point, I think the social media stuff is good. The content is nice and I follow it, but the lack of coverage even in the local papers impacts those older folks or those that are not in tuned with digital media. There's a disconnect there.

The one hope that I still have for this community is that they've showed out for football before. They can do it again. Even last year for the conference championship we started selling tickets from scratch and drew a record crowd of over 31k.

For a first trial run, it was a lot of fun.
I wanted more low down on Chandler Fields. Where he's from who he played for what was his rating coming out of highschool. Was he all district, all state, did he win any state titles. Etc. I think a big thing you guys could do is really introduce all of these guys to the public. You're helping the school give the fans a reason to root, or care. Just throwing that in there. But your main subject matter was also very important. the question now is the administration listening for new ideas?

Chandler played for holy cross in New Orleans at first but finished his high school career at rummel. He was a 3 star out of high school but like Levi size was his downfall or he would have been recruited by bigger schools. He did not win a state championship but was all district in the catholic league. 2nd team I believe.

Trust me the administration listens and they don't like the truth. How can they introduce players when players aren't part of the podcast?
