    NIL can not be tied to attending/playing for a team. He keeps his money unless contract specifically states he otherwise. Plus, the companies he signed with wouldn’t want the bad publicity asking for their money back.

    I don't think it's known, as this "journalists" doesn't even know the pay structure of the contracts. Terrible article.

    And I've got no sympathy for businesses / individuals that want to jump into the NIL arena. If you get burned financially by local teenage athletes, you kind of deserve the consequences.

    In my opinion, NIL is a way of cheating the system. There were always the under the table deals that were illegal, now NIL is a way of legalizing the illegal deals. With that said, I hope he keeps every penny he collected. It's a slap in the face to these crooked schemes.

    Hope this happens often enough that NIL will be cancelled all together.

    No one can cancel the edicts of the United States Supreme Court other than the United States Supreme Court.
