How does Louisiana post a 22-2 record over the last two year, while only losing to Costal and Texas, but can't get one vote in the AP Poll? 🤔
Make this make sense to me?

Lost the head coach and QB who delivered that record, with our only Top 25 end of season rankings ever and our only P5 win on the road.
Lost two of our three-stud RB trio. Lost our several starting O-Lineman. Lost a key DB and a key LB.
An 8-4 regular season record (which I think alot of people on the outside are expecting) probably isn't going to command any Top 25 votes.
All good. I'd rather opponents think we won't be as good as well.
Just keep the streak going, the votes will show up.
We have tripped but we have not fallen down.
Good catch, made the changes.
Has ull ever been ranked before?
All of the responses are fine, but that should be even more reason to have media sunshine pumpers.
The goal is to be the highest ranked G5 program at the end of the year. Why start from behind if you don't have to. Not receiving votes creates a higher mountain to climb.
Hypothetical situation:
UL goes undefeated, we are so far back in the preseason rankings, we can't catch up to other G5 schools with a potential "good P5 loss".
The goal should be a New Years Six Bowl game.
After the last four years success, it is time we have expectations to compete as a Top 25 team with NY6 expectations, just like Cincinnati and UCF.
Geaux is right.
Start ranked, stay noticed, climb.
