UL Football Biggest COACHING concern for football

My biggest concern for the football season is the DL.

I think Coach Seagrest was maybe the most underrated of all the coaches on last season’s staff.

Obviously a great coach he is in the NFL. Luckily his predecessor will have some very good talent there that will make his job a lot easier.

Dez thinks that's the deepest unit with the most exp.

While we need to replace the speed rush and Andre Jones has to come up big this year, that position is far from my biggest concern. I'd actually put LB higher on that list although I still expect the defense to be really good. My biggest concern is obviously QB and then OL. Maybe switch them but they are my two for sure in whatever order.

Yes. DL and DBs might be the best in conference as a whole units.

Zi’yon Hill, if healthy, could be the defensive player of the year in the SBC. If you watch the last 4 games of the season, he got stronger and impacted the games more and more. (Always stayed healthy)

Based on what people are seeing in camp, he’s worked hard and ready to step up.

I agree with this statement, but he is going to be challenged by Carlton Martial a LB from Troy. The problem is that while ZiYon will possibly be the best defensive player or close to it, the position he plays will not put up the numbers a guy like Martial will from his LB position. Not to mention that Martial is amazingly good as is ZiYon by the way.

After viewing practice yesterday, my concern has been and remains the Offensive Line.

Not good when you breaking in a new QB. I am hearing the transfer hasn't panned out.

Folks, the previous 2 posts are exactly why I say a winning season would be a great outcome this year.

Oh, I really our talent there, I just think Seagrest was outstanding at technique and getting the most out of what we had.
