…..There can be a method to the WR subbing madness……Let’s say I line up and sprint down the field 25-30 yards or more…..somebody has to cover me and I think back to the WRs for Houston with their veer…..run 3 30 yard or longer sprints back on defense against a fresh Offensive guy each play…..some deep air puffs!
Peter LeBlanc will also be back as a Covid Jr. The only 2 yr starter at the WR position. He did not play in the bowl game last year due to an injury sustained in the championship game as you may recall. When the championship game ended he lead the team in total catches and yards for the year up to that point. You put Leblanc, Jefferson and Stephens on the field at the same time you got 6’2”, 6’4” and 6’5” that might be the biggest bunch of receivers ever put on the field at the same time here ever. At least I can’t recall having 3 with that size at the same time.
Literally no one here “overlooks” Pete. RP has been enamored with him since the first game of his freshmen year.
Also lead the team in receptions and yards in the games he played in. At the end of the championship game he was first in that category. He didn’t play in the bowl game so he got passed up in the end. He had a drop early last year against Tx after that I don’t recall many last year. I think you might be thinking of his earlier years. Not saying he didn’t drop any but heck all receivers drop some even Michael Thomas.
Any update on his surgery rehab? Didn’t he miss all of spring?
We have mention the bigger guys here in the WR room. Who’s gonna be that Harry Peoples type. Smaller shifty guy out of the slot? Rogers? Fleming? Someone I may be missing?
