    If Des can somehow get us to and maintaining 9+ wins and contending for SBC championships in this current era, I'm completely ok with him shirking that responsibility to the administration.

    Very few coaches are natural in the program mouthpiece role. Very very few. The admin has to play an active role.

    I disagree. Whenever I did interviews for the Cajun RedZone I found most head coaches were very good salesmen and created excitement. Same thing with the SBC media days in football last year. These guys have to sell negatives into positives. Of the new SBC coaches I hate to say CMD was by far the least inspiring. The Troy, and GS coaches were much more exciting. Time will tell if that matters on the field.

    Put it this way…if the coach isn’t out there being excited on a regular basis about HIS team, it’s harder to get average Joe AKA casual fan interested.
