Excellent move. T-Joe, like us all is getting older. He's well past 65, has his years of service. Figure he moves on within the next 5 years, gives the program stability. Who knows, Maggard takes his place?

I have no clue if he’d be the best hire to be President, but Dr. Zappi would certainly be a great ambassador for the university! I’ve always enjoy his presentations and enthusiasm!

Well deserved imo. Have PTSD from Foote’s article of Dr. Maggard saying he isn’t leaving until the job is finished.

Wonder what that means in his eyes.

  9. Default Maggard

Louisiana athletic director Bryan Maggard has received a one-year contract extension, the school announced Tuesday.

Look, it’s ok for an outsider to be AD here, but anyone running Martin Hall must be “one of us”.

    No aliens.

This is a nice well earned salary increase for an energized man leading our athletic department. Hopefully, T Joe can also find additional resources to support our student athletes. UL needs a renovated state of the art Cajun Field and new baseball club house. Let’s geaux make it happen!

Good point, UL does need to hire a full RCAF team including director.

Your post about a Maggard extension till 2027 was in March of 2022 with a reference to 2021.

Q: Is this new late July press release about an extension till 2027 similar to the re-release of the Tech series announcement?

With the Tech series it was announced in December of 2021 and again in early July. https://forumeus.com/showthread.php/...light=December
