Thread: Louisiana Needs to get in the"FAST" Lane

  1. Louisiana Louisiana Needs to get in the"FAST" Lane

    Free AD Supported Television.

    FAST

    Remember AOC?

Well with streaming and selling Ads Louisiana could have their own station and make ten times the money they make from being in the Sunbelt which I think is $1.2 million.

With an Independant schedule the TV would be worth viewing and advertisers would line up to pay Louisiana directly.

    Make it happen.

Ok going independant is no longer an option, that golden goose boat has sailed.

Still, no reason Louisiana can't have its own AD Supported channel.

What other school(s) is doing this?

One of the benefits Texas is gaining joining the SEC is the Longhorn Network is shutting down. Been a financial bust, joining the SEC allows that to be the spin, not the money losing venture

If Texas couldn’t do it, UL can’t.

The Longhorn Network required a subscription.

    Free AD Supported Television.

FAST is the only way to succeed.

Can another school take over longhorn network channel? Can we apply?

Why can't the students who major in this stuff participate in these types of endeavors, there are high schools now that have live broadcasts of games why can't college students do it and let alum put those disney woke fees they pay right back in to univ instead

Have you ever seen the contract that ESPN has with the conference? Yeah me either. I am sure there is something that would not allow independent broadcast on other viewing outlets.

Have you ever seen the contract that ESPN has with the ACC? Yeah neither have I. I am sure FSU found some loophole to broadcast on their own viewing outlet.

You may be correct. But I would imagine with the ACC the contracts are different and Fla St has more bargaining power.

I can't imagine any network having less bargaining power than one that pays $2.1 million for 60 games of content.
