Cajuns Football Landz Two Big Commitments

Can't remember us having so many commits with no ranking. I think we have 1 commit ranked. Can you give some insight as to what's different from the last few years?

I think sometimes it's because there are questions concerning commitment to Football as in the case of Kody Jackson. You need to do a little digging and you get a better understanding. For me its these things: 1) He's a very good college baseball prospect, as per Perfect Game.2) He All-State in 3 sports including football. 3) He's supposedly a legit 4.4 athlete and his video is impressive. And finally he is recruited by Coach Burris, a former NFL player and the same guy that recruited the other Safety commitment Moses from Shreveport. I trust him to know what kind of athlete he wants to play in his system.

Caden Jansen is a projectable TE, a lot of his video shows him blocking. That may be a problem for some programs that haven't seen him catch the football enough. But Dave Campbell Texas Football Magazine has him listed in their Top 5 HS TE prospects in Texas. That's not an easy honor, considering there are many All- District TE's playing football in Texas. But how many are 6-5 plus and run 4.7?

I'm not saying some of these kids are 4 Stars, or even 3 Stars. But if you watch the video they are projectable athletes in our system.

Competing with non power 5 for recruits, instead of going against P5.

This is true, I learned it first hand running the Cajun site for 247 Recruiting. They only concern themselves with P5 Prospects until someone begs them to evaluate the athlete and look at their offers.

So CB Davin Martin has offers from Oregon St., UTSA, Air Force, Navy, Army and UL. But this kid is not ranked period?

The same can be said for Carpenter. The rankings have some value, but the summer camps have just finished in late July and many kids simply have not had profiles built, or updated.

Tbh I was nervous about recruiting a few days ago since I haven’t heard much.

5 recruits in two days will definitely help. Love the momentum we’re getting heading into the season.
