That is what I thought too. I was very confused by the post on Twitter.

Not necessarily Rick. It might be accurate in this case, but I've seen a number of kids say the same thing after receiving an offer on paper. I hope he has because he would have 3 years of eligibility left.

Definitely has that flavor to it, but T knows, his stuff in this area.

Rick does as well, played QB at USL in the 70s.

He was a walk on with the Necksters. I cant find any stats. Must have red shirted.

He did redshirt, I am sure of that. It does show him as a walk on, but if you look at his list of offers out of HS, I am shocked he was not on scholarship. He had offers from Arkansas, Kansas, Ole Miss, Memphis, Texas State, Tulane, UCF, UVA and Texas A&M. Very few 3 stars with offers from schools like the above don't get full rides to somewhere.

He didn't qualify, so he tried to walk-on. He left for Hutchison JC. Several schools wanted to place him in JC, but he wanted to enroll at Tech.

T do you know who all was recruiting him out of Hutchinson? Any other offers.

I certainly hope we get him. I think we are a little thin on our DL.

He only participated in spring football at Hutchison JC. He left Tech after Sonny Crumble became head coach. The word on him, and this doesn't come from our staff, is if he plays this season at Hutchison he will have a number of programs on him. UL is trying to get on him early. What is not certain is whether the offer is to enroll at UL in August, or to sign with UL in December after the season. If he enrolls in August, he would have 4 years to play, after the season at Hutchison he would have 3 years of eligibility left.
