Well Lafayette’s own Henny Penny, Rob “Worst Case Scenario” Perillo, is alluding to a storm in the gulf in 10 days. So, as I always do, I checked the multiple models I follow, and alas, ONE out of 8 has a hurricane in the Gulf Labor Day Weekend. And of course, hitting us. No other model even develops what Rob is alluding to.

Hurricanes in late August is a pretty common event for Louisiana. Just checking and Galvez suffered a hurricane in New Orleans before he took the British out of Manchack and Baton Rouge. He got a lot of help from Opelousas Cajuns. Many families qualify for sons and daughters of the American Revolution from those two battles.
