It isn't meant for Tuesday either but Friday Is a lot easier to make

Making matters worse, you have a chicken and egg situation: Students see the student section on TV looking half-full (or worse) and get the impression that it's not the place to be.

Bigger name schools making regular trips here (Marshall, USM, App. St.) should help some. Nobody cares about no name programs with no history. Scheduling regional schools for the non-conference games would also help some. No one cares about Ohio.

It's just not a very interesting product for students, whether they live on campus or with their parents in Rayne. And it's not a UL problem, it's a problem across the board. Which mid-major programs are packing the house week in and week out?
When the Sunbelt is dictating 2/3 of your schedule overcoming this problem will be a high hurdle.

“40% of the games televised games on Saturday”. That means 60% on weekdays……..

The sunbelt is quickly becoming one of the best G5 conferences in the country. Would you rather be in CUSA and let them dictate 2/3 of schedule. Or let’s say we do go independent we might be able to fill a home schedule with a SLC school as we do now and a mixture of SBC, CUSA and MAC. Never playing the same school consistently and developing any rivalries. The P5s aren’t coming here as independents just like they aren’t coming here now with us in the sunbelt.

If fans can’t get excited about the current state of the sunbelt conference then they are just clueless about today’s college football.

Now that is just a plain wrong, short sighted and myopic take.

Even with only 4 non-SBC independent games to work with, 'the willing to work' could still get, a P5 school at Louisiana every 4 years, and a quality G5 every single year.

Note: Because of the limited number of Indi games (4) to barter with, it would require a 5h and 7r schedule. The number of home games would go down, but the quality of those games would go way up.

Are you talking about those of the 10 to 15 fans who post here who appear not to ever get excited about anything Cajun?
