Being a student at UL in 1984 I definitely remember Cliff Newman. Not our friend. Since you should not speak ill of the dead I will refrain from calling him what I called him in 1984.

Greg Sankey introduces Billy Napier at SEC media days, and calls us the University of Louisiana 3 times from the podium. He also says he joked with Billy about our old name, but continued to call us by University of Louisiana. who would have thought that would ever happen on the stage of SEC media days. only need to watch the first 1:30 for the good stuff.

They'll be seething when their football team falls flat on it's ass & the Gators are playing for the SEC championship in a couple of years. There will be whaling & gnashing of teeth when they realize they wasted well over 100 million dollars on a guy in his mid 60s who has zero chance of ever winning an SEC title because their AD was too arrogant to hire a guy from a school he considered "inferior." Of course it's the same arrogant reason he stabbed his other coach in the back until dead after the season in college football history.
