On March 30, 2010, at approximately 7:50 pm, officers with the Lafayette Police Department responded to the 100 block of Pine Street regarding an armed robbery. The victim, a 17 year old male, was walking on Pine Street when a green SUV (Possibly an Explorer) occupied by 4 black males drove along side of him. The four suspects exited the vehicle and forced the victim to the ground from behind. The suspects stuck the victim with punches and sticks. The victim’s pockets were rummaged through and then the suspects fled the area. The victim was transported to an area hospital for lacerations to his wrist and back. The incident remains under investigation.
