I feel like we did the whole media market thing a few years back and it all back fired. Why are they doing that same song and dance now.

Also in regards to media rights, if that is the reason they went after LA, why would they bring in both LA schools. Wouldn’t that be like paying 2 for 1. If you have to pay both UCLA and USC to come

Two reasons, they share a market of over 13M people, and USC needed a travel partner. They have a long term rivalry, it makes sense. Washington and Oregon are not travel partners for either school.
