    The kid frames it very well. Very underestimated by many as of importance for a catcher.

    A good catcher can potentially make an average Pitcher good and a good Pitcher great!

    Our SS is an above average catcher too

    I was thinking the same thing. Good defensive SSs are easy to find. Good catchers are not.

    If Debarge’s goal is to make the big leagues, it’s MUCH easier to do so as a catcher.

    That said, I have never seen him play the position and maybe he was an adequate HS catcher, and not someone who has a future professionally at the position

    He was above adequate.
