There was an interesting Stewart Mandel column today where he laid out scenarios there was more media revenue to be gained with an outright merger of the Big 12/Pac 10. Mandel also stated bump the numbers from 22 to 24 members for easier pod scheduling adding San Diego St. and SMU. He yadda, yadda about SMU being across the metroplex from SMU but that would make 5 Texas schools. Its the longest of long shots, but UL definitely should be letting the Big 12 know of its interest. The mega conference adds a new State. Sure we'd have to wait for years to rake in larger piece of the TV dollars but you do what you have to do to get foot in the door. The east pod of 6 team scenario was Cinn, Iowa St, W. Va, UCF, Kansas, Kansas St., central pod scenario listed was Baylor, Houston, OK St., TCU, Texas Tech, then insert your favorite team here. Granted USF and SMU would be formidable competition to get past for membership. Throw your name in the hat anyway.

I don’t hate Southern Miss. I hate 2 schools. Neither one of them is in our conference.

Life is short. I hate to let all those petty things get in the way of us getting redemption on the field. I want to play them and beat them good. Nothing else matters to me. As long as we find reasons not to play them, that will never happen.

I left the game in Lafayette crying and fussing at Southern Miss fans. To be fair I was a young kid and more than likely cranky…but it’s one of my earliest memories at Cajun Field.

Me and my bud, C4Me, were itching to get to Mako's early and were walking out thinking we had this one. We decided to stay near the gate and watch the last couple of minutes.

It took A LOT to drown our sorrows that night. Back then, Mako's had a 5$ cover, free draft/hurricanes till midnight. We accomplished the drowning.

You try to get teams like Memphis, ECU, UCF, Rice, UTSA. Tech is option like 5 or 6. Tech isnt going going anywhere. We can have them whenever we want. We take them if we need them and thats it.

This!!!! I can't hate them more or less just because they're in our conference. Tech adds NO VALUE! The fact some of you want tech in the same conference just because it would bring fans to one game is USL'ing to the enth degree. Get off the dope. Seriously guys. Aim higher.
