It would have been small time thinking in the mid ‘90s. Attendance is dwindling all over college football due to every game streaming in someone’s back pocket. 25K and create demand. I don’t want a 55K stadium with nothing but empty aluminum bleachers. I’m just tired of it.
The top deck should just be suites on both sides and turn both sideline seating into super comfortable chair backs with Wi-Fi, usb outlets, cupholders, and tablet screen for ordering drinks and food…also make sure the seating is covered to protect from the elements. I think it would be money well spent. Put the stadium at 35K and call it done. Amenities will win this round of putting butts in seats… I would pay money for those amenities.
Yes, Cajun Field only needs 30-35k seats with great amenities and the ability to grow if needed.
CajunField needs 25k seats, some standing room areas for crowd mingling and a few high dollar options to entertain national sponsors and big time events (bowl games or league champ games).
Dump a ton of money into controlling our own media, make media department & equipment a top priority, recruit top flight media students, creative department and promotional budget should be in the top 5% of G5.
That’s the model.
AGREED! I graduated from the school in broadcast journalism and back then I was asking why are we not in house producing our own content with the students…we just need an equipment investment, but unfortunately cameras and production equipment are very expensive…Also the students need to take over the on campus radio station!
