Reading lots of talk about PAC-12 schools talking to the BIG-12. In addition, PAC-12 schools have also reached out to the BIG-10 after USC/UCLA announced their move. How will this all play out? Will the SEC make moves to acquire more schools? What will the trickle down effect be?
Back to realignment talk, I'm seeing Big 12 is looking to add Arizona, Arizona state, colorado, and Utah.
With these 4 going to Big 12, and USC and UCLA going Big 10, I'd look for Oregon to also join Big 10. That would kill Pac 12 with only Oregon state, Cal-Berkley, Stanford, Washington, Washington state left standing
The PAC 12 won’t die. Whoever is left will pick apart the Mountain West.
What happens to the Mountain West will be interesting. I think they’ll survive too, but there’s no telling what it will look like. They can take their pick of the WAC, C-USA, or maybe even the AAC. This could also be the catalyst that gets NDSU to jump to FBS.
Edit: of course the funnest scenario is that the Mountain West decides to take UTEP and NMSU. That would probably make MT and WKU bite the bullet and go to the MAC. And that would leave La Tech stuck in a conference with FIU, Jacksonville State, Liberty and Sam Houston. :-)
Rumor that I heard was PAC-12 adding Fresno State and San Diego State University
Yours is a shortsighted declaration.
No one ever said permanent, but if you want to get noticed, get out from under the pile.
Sometimes you have to run twice as fast to get on the easy train.
"I'm not going to run to get on that train"
"Well enjoy where you are, because there you will stay. "
