Thread: Ragin Cajuns football and TV

Default Ragin Cajuns football and TV

So I see we only have 5 games televised compared to all of them last year… is that set in stone or is that just the first round of television dates? I figured at least all our home games would make ESPN +…. Am I missing something or did the SBC tv deal for ESPN+ go away?

I’m pretty sure that all games will be on ESPN+ at a minimum.

All Football, basketball and WBB will be on ESPN + unless the network picks them up. At the spring meeting the SBC is requiring more Softball and Baseball games to be broadcasted on the plus.

But we are entitled fans remember for wanting more cajun sports on TV

    More TV games=less actual attendance.

If you look at our schedule, the games that aren't showing up on tv or espn +, have game times of TBA. When they are set, the tv info will be announced.

It's 2022 I can watch every D3 football game on TV... people who want to go games will go to games. Having it on TV won't Sway people one way or the other..

It most certainly affects some people's decision about live attendance.
We should have local blackouts in Acadiana for home games with an option to buy a package to view if you're within so many miles.

Yes it does. Fat asses would rather not move if given a choice. It's scientific.

I wonder if my health will still be good enough to attend in 10 years. Local fans who are too advanced in age or in poor health still want to view their team play. Maybe the answer is to find a way to charge local people more to watch at home. That likely is not feasible these days due to the league contract with ESPN.
