Idk, when I read jays post I think he said maybe some would be going out via the portal, but he didn’t seem to keen on Deggs adding from there.

"That 41 number is what they started with in the fall. There were some who left after the fall. Of those who stayed, the four redshirts, Calloway, Shifflet, Lada and Menard are now gone.

Shifflet, for those who are unaware, had an illness that forced him to miss the second half of the season. He got his degree on Senior Day and is likely done with baseball.

And for the one who asked about Marshall, he was actually cleared by the doctors at the end of the season, but wasn't used to preserve his redshirt. He'll be good to go in the fall.

So far we have added three transfer pitchers from the portal. Not at liberty to disclose names yet."

There are three high school class of 2021 position players listed in D1 Baseball.com portal as transferring out I've never heard of. I guess they were cut before the season.

They were redshirting and were on the roster most of the season…until they entered the portal and were removed

I have sources. I don’t reveal them, which is why I STILL have sources. Get over your jealousy. Me and Jay knew about this before he even said anything on twitter. I started this thread to give folks a little more information than Jay originally did.

Speaking of the portal

Huston Waldrep, who just got named either 1st or 2nd team All-American (depending on the publication), had a monster year for Southern Miss. He just entered the portal today. My bet is there's lots of NIL money in his future.
