Been saying it that we need a collective….without a collective we won’t be able to truly compete at the highest level.

First Arkansas dishing out vehicles to softball players, now Oklahoma dishing out big $$$$...The P5 to G5 gap is getting bigger.

UL is doing what it can, especially in NIL deals which is helping against other G5 programs. But eventually you will see a number of P5 programs separate and create another level. That's where college athletics is headed.

In the meantime the transfer rule needs to return to sitting out 1 year, with a waiver only in the cases of death, or catastrophic illness to an immediate family member.

    I can't say this enough.

The P5 to G5 gap will not change.

There is a half million in NIL deals waiting to be paid out in the next school year..most sports/athletes are included and there is the jersey deal as well. There is a very informative article posted recently here where Jackie Russo was quoted extensively about Ups NIL Deals....

And just like that former Big 10 SB pitcher of the year goes to Oklahoma for her grad year.

I have to wonder now that things are in the open, are we doing NIL deals at the expense of the programs and Cajun Field?

You guys who think like chicken little concerning NIL...you know the sky is always falling group...do some research for once on what UL is bringing to the table.

That just means there is someone else that Olahoma either isn't getting or doesn't have room for.... and that very goodplayer will go somewhere and create the same scenario.

A scenario to be repeated over and over, and in the end nothing will have changed.
