"Bat your way out of a regional " will get the credit, it always does. But more often than not "one arm short" opens the door for even average batters to be the hero.

they just may close Hattiesburg this week for a super regional, they have never seen anything like this there. The stadium looked and sounded electric on the broadcast yesterday. I may go up to a game this week if I can score a ticket from my daughter or her boyfriend who has been up there all week working the game for the school paper

Here’s the pbp of the game, ninth inning, only out recorded was a sacrifice bunt. WP runners to 2nd and third. Why they didn’t walk the bases loaded to get a chance at a force out or even a dp surprised me. Gave up single, ball game.
