Thread: College Station Regional

    UL Baseball College Station Regional

So now that the dogpile, conference championship, and regional announcements have been made; it's time to focus on this weekend in College Station. First Up: TCU.

We definitely have out work cut out for us with this field, but this team is starting to put it together at just the right time. I really do think we can make some noise if we find a way on Friday Night against TCU.

    Thoughts?

Can we check if Spencer Arrighetti is available for one night to shove like he did last year vs the Frogs

We match up well with TCU. If we just play clean baseball like we did all weekend, we'll get out of that one with a W. Don't sleep on Oral Roberts either. They swing it pretty good. Will be interesting to see if Schultz goes in Game 1 or if Deggs stays with the same weekend rotation. Happy for these kids and the staff. Been a rollercoaster season.

It doesn’t not appear TCU has a lock down Friday starter. Perez has 8 starts in 16 appearances with an era of 3.34, but the 2 guys with the most starts have mid 4 eras.
    Will Perez start against us?
Their staff seems similar to ours in many ways.

I am pleased we will not
Be seeing an all American sub 2 era out the gates.

Reading Ragin Dave's numbers it looks like TCU is patient at the plate

Throwing strikes is a remedy for that virtue.

Seems like TCU has the ability to hit in the clutch. Making them earn everything might be the key. Cant give them free baserunners and extra outs. Im a little suprised by some of the pitching numbers. Would of thought they would of been a little better being the HC is a pitching guy and the fact they won the Big 12
