    UL Football UL Football Preview

Funny, I didn't notice any love for the RPCA.

Sort of calls into question the legitimacy of the whole article doesn’t it?

"With many players opting to use their extra COVID year, the Cajuns had 96 players on their roster at one point. They had to focus on getting back to the 85-man scholarship limit, so a 12-man class with one transfer accomplished that. So though the 2022 class ranks No. 123 nationally (and No. 7 in the Sun Belt) in the 247Sports Composite, the 12 signings’ average player rating is No. 1 in the conference."

Class rankings really don't make a lot of sense. It is based on how many players are signed. If you have constant turnover and sign a lot of recruits it looks like you are going to do really well. But, just the opposite could happen.

Having the highest average player rating means we got some quality players. I'll take quality over quantity every time.

It's been a decade since we had an air attack If the article is true I'm so ready

As long as we can win 10+ games a year, I don't care if we run the veer. Just win baby.

Very Tall ask 8-9 wins is more realistic

I agree it is a very tall task. Hence, I don't care how it gets done.

Our schedule is much easier than last year IMO.

Plus the article highlights how much we have coming back.

10 win season should be doable as long as we take care of business and the new QB is somewhat competent.

Defense should lead us this year mainly with our receivers a close second.

…….Too bad they left out mentioning our starting QB….well, my choice!

We were 1 score away from being .500. it's all how the ball bounces

It will come down to QB and new starters on the O line play as to how this team does. Everywhere else should be pretty solid.

A 10 win should be the goal, but it's probably more realistic to look for an 8 or 9 win season with a first year head coach and fairley young staff.

People forget, while this team has more talent than Coach Napier's first season, a lot of the depth has very little on field experience. And even Coach Napier had a learning curve as a young new head coach.

Great article. I remember a higher up telling me and you that once Coach Napier left that the next head coach was already on the staff in Des. When I mentioned that on the board most folks laughed and even one poster wanted to bet me 10K that wouldn't happen. I think he is glad that I don’t bet.
