Defense should lead us this year mainly with our receivers a close second.
A 10 win should be the goal, but it's probably more realistic to look for an 8 or 9 win season with a first year head coach and fairley young staff.

People forget, while this team has more talent than Coach Napier's first season, a lot of the depth has very little on field experience. And even Coach Napier had a learning curve as a young new head coach.

Great article. I remember a higher up telling me and you that once Coach Napier left that the next head coach was already on the staff in Des. When I mentioned that on the board most folks laughed and even one poster wanted to bet me 10K that wouldn't happen. I think he is glad that I don’t bet.

As they say, the proof is in the pudding. It will take a couple of seasons and a full recruiting cycle or two to see what we really have. It's going to be interesting for sure. As far as the article, it was well done and had some good depth. I like Coach Des wanting to open up the passing game some. Hopefully, the defense can maintain the intensity and high level of play we've seen in the past few years. It was crucial in our success.

8 wins is the absolute floor of this team.

Some of y’all really doubt the talent and depth we still have in the roster. A QB who can actually threaten every part of the field with his arm with be a dynamic change to this offense.

10 wins is easy with this schedule.

The RB room was gutted. Hence, the need to air it out. There’s a giant hole in the middle of the defense. Unproven QBs. Etc. Etc.

Let’s dial it down a little. A winning season would be a good outcome. Anything above that is gravy. I like gravy.

At this point of the preseason.....We'll run the table. Those are my expectations, not a game in the schedule UL can't win...just being in the now...
