Louisiana makes its second consecutive appearance in the Sun Belt Conference semifinals when it faces regular-season champion Texas State in the nightcap on Saturday.

►Louisiana, the No. 4 seed, is making its 27th appearance in the Sun Belt Championships where it has posted an all-time 49-42 record.

►Louisiana opened play on Friday with a 9-1 win over No. 5-seeded South Alabama behind freshman Kyle DeBarge’s firstcareer, four-hit game.

►The Ragin’ Cajuns have won four SBC Tournament titles, including three straight from 2014-16.

►Three of Louisiana’s four SBC Tournament titles have come in the state of Alabama (1998 - Mobile, 2014 - Mobile, 2015 - Troy).

►Louisiana defeated Texas State and App State in Pool C play in last year’s event at Riverwalk Stadium before falling in extra innings to Georgia Southern in the semifinals.

►Louisiana is 5-2 overall against Texas State in SBC postseason play since 2014.

►Texas State earned a three-game sweep against the Ragin’ Cajuns when the teams met two weeks ago in San Marcos.

►All three games in the series were decided by two runs.
