After being wiped out by two days of rain in the Montgomery area, baseball will finally get back on track in central Alabama.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team officially opens play in the 2022 Guardian Credit Union Sun Belt Baseball Championship on Friday when it faces No. 5-seeded South Alabama at Riverwalk Stadium.

First pitch in the now, single-elimination event is scheduled for 4 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and can be heard in the Lafayette area on KPEL-FM (96.5), the Varsity Network and the #GeauxCajuns app.

as if there is one with either Warner or Bobby in the lineup? CJ has came through clutch for us many times, and is a proven solid glove at 1B

Rincones gives me elite level defense and has been clutch on more than a few occasions. Rocc’s average and slug are WAY up as a 1B as opposed to anywhere else. JBo is a nice guy, but below average ball player. Willis is white hot or ice cold. Ju Ju Brock is one of the hottest hitters in the conference; he’s in the 7 hole tonight.

This lineup makes absolutely no sense. Again.
