In a 9 inning game the starter has to pitch 5 complete innings to be eligible for the win. Otherwise the official scorekeeper decides who gets the win, usually the most effective reliever.

Jay pretty much always does a pregame. I prefer not to “watch” him tho

In a tournament setting:

They take about 40 minutes between games. With a game before ours, I have to give the preceding guys time to do their postgame show, sign off and pack up. Then I need to set up equipment, get hooked up and take a minute or two before we go on.

I think we had 23 minutes last night. I thought that was pretty good.

Same thing will probably hold true this evening.
