Rain forecasted all day. And tomorrow.
Get the redbull and vodka ready for 2 am baseball
Over under for start time at 9:20pm. Surely will move a lot today
that conference tourney at the tigue a few years back was fun...trips back and forth to legends during rain delays, staying out there til 2:30 - 3:00 am. good times
Going to be interesting to see if they change the format like they did in 2017.
Troy vs. Coastal scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. start is in a rain delay. There might be a brief break in the weather in a few hours but if there is I don't see it lasting long as the line that went through Lafayette this a.m. will be pushing into the area. Forecast also calls for more rain to develop to our West late this evening/tonight which will push into Montgomery tomorrow. Friday thru Sunday look clear but I don't see them squeezing in another game on Sunday. That means minimum of twelve games and up to fourteen games need to be played by Saturday. I think we somehow have to get in a minimum of four games between today and tomorrow to have any shot at completing the tournament. The only other option would be to find another field (ASU?) and play a few games at an alternate site.
The forecast is bad after noon. The rest of the week is fine.

Weather will be beautiful here in Lafayette starting tomorrow bring tournament here
Use Troy as a second location if need be just dont let them play on their home field.
I recently had to tell some crews that work for me to stop looking at any forecast except the NWS. They have created problems on multiple occassions.
National Weather Service out of Birmingham shows 90% chance of rain tomorrow. Should clear out sometime in the morning though.
The below is from the NWS discussion for Thursday.
Without much break, yet another convective system/shortwave is
expected to eject across the lower Mississippi Valley late tonight
into Thursday morning. This will lead to an area-wide
soaking rainfall. 1-2" with locally higher amounts are currently
forecast. Some isolated flooding is possible. Additionally, the
parameter space (and unusual amount of kinematics for late May) will
also support a "Marginal Risk" for strong to severe thunderstorms.
Damaging wind gusts, hail, and perhaps a tornado are the main
threats.
I'm not certain the field conditions will even be playable until late tomorrow.
