Use Troy as a second location if need be just dont let them play on their home field.
I recently had to tell some crews that work for me to stop looking at any forecast except the NWS. They have created problems on multiple occassions.
National Weather Service out of Birmingham shows 90% chance of rain tomorrow. Should clear out sometime in the morning though.
The below is from the NWS discussion for Thursday.
Without much break, yet another convective system/shortwave is
expected to eject across the lower Mississippi Valley late tonight
into Thursday morning. This will lead to an area-wide
soaking rainfall. 1-2" with locally higher amounts are currently
forecast. Some isolated flooding is possible. Additionally, the
parameter space (and unusual amount of kinematics for late May) will
also support a "Marginal Risk" for strong to severe thunderstorms.
Damaging wind gusts, hail, and perhaps a tornado are the main
threats.
I'm not certain the field conditions will even be playable until late tomorrow.
I’m listening to future member ODU throttle MTSU 17-6 in the bottom of the 6th and they just went to a rain delay. So the rain we experienced this morning has made its way to Hattiesburg.
Ha…rain delay over. Only lasted about 5 minutes. They’re back at it.
The plus showing game three troy versus coastal in weather delay, But game 4 app state versus Georgia Southern About to start… Game three skip for later?
South Al still scheduled for four no doubt will be backed up.
As of 3pm they are 6 hours behind. Jay said possible restart at 330 but nothing about that on twitter
SUN BELT TOURNAMENT UPDATE: There won’t be any games today before 7 p.m. Coaches are supposed to meet again at 5 p.m. to finalize a plan (i.e., they are taking some time to think about it).
With 13-15 Games to play single elimination seems unavoidable
