Thread: UTA Coach Darin Thomas Resigns

  1. UL Baseball UTA Coach Darin Thomas Resigns

I know it does not affect the Cajuns or the SBC as they will be moving on now that their season is over. But after 2 decades of coaching at UTA, Head Baseball Coach Darin Thomas is resigning. He has been at UTA since 2001 and HC since 2008.

Good luck to him in the future, UTA was traditionally a very competitive baseball team in the Belt.

In 2014 my family and I went to the Sun Belt baseball tournament in Mobile. While there, we were waiting around and exploring the stadium. My son was watching the players take batting practice and the coaches from UTA invited us into the practice facility, gave him a little bat, and let him take a few swings. He doesn’t remember as he was only 4 at the time, but I’ll always remember. The coaches and players were all a class act. They really made his day. I hope Coach Thomas gets another chance. Best of luck to a fine gentlemen!

I wonder what that means for Taylor Dugas.
