Little too soon to predict NIL departures and such.
Next season starts as soon as this season ends. Coach Glasco said today when he is driving back home he will be thinking of ways to get better for next year. Coaching is a year round job.

Nope. Nor am I going to speculate who simply because nobody knows what is going thru a player’s mind or what pressures are in play…playing time, parental, ego, educational, relationships (subsets personal, staff, teammates) financial…just for starters.

As fans it may seem fun or important, but such speculation can be harmful to a program.

Does that include the time during the summer while he's coaching pro ball?

I would say yes, since the pro stuff is all about carving out a recruiting edge.

You don't think the exposure and resume of being a current "pro" coach creates a recruiting edge with aspiring highschool softball players?

I think the focus should be on his own program. Take it how u want. That benefit of being a “pro” coach is not as significant as it would be in other sports. You cant recruit a pro kid and bring them back with u late summer or fall to help your program

The value of Glasco coaching pro teams cannot be expressed enough.

It is simply the secret sauce that will make Louisiana stand out in a sea of 300+ schools screaming look at me.

I'm asking this as I simply don't know.

USSSA Pride is a professional team.

How does this help Coach Glasco wih recruiting?

He can't recruit players from USSSA Pride (or their league mates) can he?

Just who is Coach Glasco recruiting?
Yes they are, but if you have been to or watched any college or professional softball game ever you will know that tons of young girl softball players follow softball religiously. Hell if you go to HS softball games you will see other young ladies at those games. The point is any exposure, specifically professional exposure is great for the team. If young girls go watch this and see that Coach Glasco is someone they want to play for then it is worth it.

then why isnt Nick Saban coaching the birmingham stallion in his “spare time”. He has enough non coaching assistants and other consultants to do all the off season work for him
