While Texas State's 15-0 road record in conference is impressive, they got the Cajuns, Georgia Southern, South Alabama and Coastal at home and missed Troy completely.
They got road series wins at Georgia State (#7), App State (#9), ULM (#10) and the two that didn't qualify for the tournament in UTA and stAte.
I'm going to be very interested to see how that team fares in a spacious park like Montgomery.
They are very good, make no mistake about it. But about 60 of their 79 hr came at home.
And, if they play LR on Wednesday night, assuming Hayden Arnold doesn't start on Tuesday, that'll be a tough first game against the #8 seed. Arnold lost 3-2 in San Marcos.
We’ll be lucky if we can complete the tournament all together. The weather isn’t looking too great
Yes, but they got Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, Louisiana, and South Alabama (completing your top 5 seeds) all at home. Those home games represented their four losses. Texas State was only a net +3 runs in all of those games.
I, for one, look forward to getting them on a neutral field ... in a ball park that is more fitting for a D1 baseball program.
The conference tournament will be interesting.
