I thought LR might of not bothered since multiple LR batters and their coach were upset with called 3rd strikes. I enjoyed the ring up on the one where he was 25-30 down the line to first thinking he got a walk. It’s also why I think LaFleur swung at a crap pitch, ump’s tendency on full count seemed to favor the pitcher.

And credit to Max’s hustle tonight. He kept the 8th going with his second infield hit of the night.

Isn’t replay review a conference rule? I gave their coach a lot of ____ for asking for a review because I didn’t think that was available anywhere in the sun belt

LR and I believe Coastal are the only sunbelt schools with replay. Probably why you saw the 2B go straight to the headset motion. Force of habit. Not sure what rule allows them to utilize replay while others don’t. Seems like it would be all or nothing.

There will be replay in Montgomery and hopefully the coaches can agree on replay everywhere next year, along with 4 umpires

That shocks me that LR would have replay. I'm not even sure the field they play on is theirs so maybe the city paid for it.

We got up to leave just before last pitch, heard something like “what’s the matter? He’s your boy?” We we’re in main grandstand, so it was loud for sure.

Knew that was headed downhill, didn’t stick around.

I believe they do use it for conference, although I could be wrong. Not sure how they work around that, but them and Coastal have it this year
