Vonnie Frank Todd Junior was sentenced to life at hard labor after being found guilty of aggravated incest and attempted aggravated incest in St. Mary Parish. At the habitual offender hearing, the Honorable Gerard B. Wattigny, District Judge, found Todd to be a third felony offender. The prior felony convictions were two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles and one count of simple robbery. Because all the convictions were either crimes of violence or sex offenses with victims under the age of eighteen, the law required the judge to impose a life sentence without the benefit of parole probation or suspension of sentence.
